Purpose

To welcome new culture in the community and introduce the host country's culture, create a space for people to come together and learn something new about other cultures whether it’s food, clothing, tradition or history 

Vision Statement

To regenerate Grey Lynn un-loved car park into a lively area where it can contribute to the community

Mission Statement

Reestablish the car park into a space that exposes different cultures where people can visit and return to make the most of the area

Our objectives 

  • Cultural exposure to the community and people who reside in New Zealand

  • To provide an area for artists and other cultural workers to exchange ideas 

  • Show different types of culture to promote cultural diversity 

  • Encourage inclusive and fair acceptance of various cultures in communities to reduce Culture Shock and racial discrimination 

  • Create employment opportunities for producers of traditional cultural products 

  • Allow participants to increase their appreciation and understanding of the culture of the local community 

  • Use the media to package the campaign and the community for community exposure

  • Regenerate a space that seems normal into an area where people can come to love and remember as a place where they connected with people of the same or different culture

Our Goals

To urban regeneration: 

  • Working with government, iwi, and both not for profit and private organizations to attracting tourists, investment and creating jobs for the community makes it more vibrant  

  • Captivate visitors to make use of the vacant car park and leave a deep impression of our event on the area  

  • The event raises funds to help communities build more public transport and repair old houses  

  • Contribute to regeneration projects and sustainable development in the community 

  • Reestablish the car park into a space that exposes different cultures where people can visit and return to make the most of the area.
